In June 2017, Kenilworth Country Foods was purchased by local Dairy Farming Family – The Cochrane’s – John and Margaret and their son Kelvin and Ronnie Daughter-in-law. The Cochrane Family continue to produce boutique handcrafted cheese, with the addition of dairy desserts and thick yoghurts.
As a Queensland owned and operated factory they pride themselves on their community spirit, sourcing local milk from local farmers and contributing every year to the Kenilworth Cheese, Wine and Food Festival.
They are one of the only cheese makers in the country who make their specialty Queensland Red Malling and Roma Malling cheeses. Originally made in 1920, they follow the original recipe today making sure they maintain the 96-year legacy.
